Tim Hortons has recently announced a significant recall of its pink and white colour-changing donut mugs, posing a serious burn risk to consumers. Sold from January to February 2026, over 25,000 units of these popular mugs were made available at Tim Hortons locations across Canada and through their online store.

The 16oz ceramic mugs, which feature a playful donut design that changes color with hot liquids, have been reported to crack or break under high temperatures. This unfortunately has led to at least one reported burn injury, and 28 other incident reports have come in as of March 10, 2026. Health Canada has advised consumers to stop using the affected mugs immediately.

If you own one of these mugs, it is vital to return it to any Tim Hortons location by April 22, 2026, for a full refund. Post the deadline, returns may still be accepted.
